When God gives His Word and we hear it, the onus is on us to make the Word come to pass. As Christians, we can hasten prophesy. We can bring the Word of God to pass.

¶¶Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.

In the Word there are SPIRITUAL TRUTHS and there are PROMISES. There is the PRESENT TENSE and the PAST TENSE of God’s word. You do not try to be a man if you are already a man. When we call Bro. Timothy by his name, he doesn’t answer the call because he is trying to be a brother – he is a brother already. This is however different from somebody who went to the University to study Law and who now addresses himself as a Barrister .

When you study the Bible how do you see God’s Word? Whatever happens to you in life has so much do with your response to the Word of God. God gave us His Word and gave us the Holy Spirit.

¶¶1 Corinthians 2:12 (KJV) says, “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God”.

The difference from where you are now and from where you want to be is the application of knowledge. You suffer because you don’t know all that has been given to you.

¶¶Hosea 4:6 (KJV) says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”.

You must never forget that there are spiritual truths that area known to demons and angels.

¶¶1 John 3:1-2 (KJV) says, “1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is”.

This is a spiritual truth! So, stop defining and relating with those who work in Chevron with so much respect and defining yourself as a man or woman with no job.

¶¶Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”

There is so much in you that you need to develop and bring out. Refuse to be defined by your job, your car or the house you live in. You are the son of God and you have been called to inherit a blessing.

¶¶Colossians 1:12 (KJV) says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:”

The Word of God doesn’t work for you as a matter of luck. It works for you because you know who you are. It pays to know who you are. Until then you will always remain a victim in life. It was when the prodigal son realized who he was (when he “came to himself” – Luke 15:17) that things changed for him.

Let’s look at the account of the prodigal son:

¶¶Luke 15:11-12 (AMP) says, “11 And He said, There was a certain man who had two sons; 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the part of the property that falls [to me]. And he divided the estate between them”.

The father was a wealthy man and we are told that he divided that his ESTATES into two equal parts.

¶¶Luke 15:13-32 (KJV) says, “13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And WHEN HE CAME TO HIMSELF, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. 29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. 32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found”.

Let us take a closer look at the verses to help us understand why it’s very important that we know who we are. We are told in verse 16 that “no man gave unto him”. Why? He spent all he had on himself alone and that was why no man gave unto him. When things became so bad for him, we are told in verse 17 that he came back to his senses. He remembered who he was. The scripture says, “And WHEN HE CAME TO HIMSELF, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” It dawn on him that he is still a prince irrespective of his circumstances.

When he came to His senses, he took a step – he went back home. Verse 20 days, “And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him”. Why did his father received him back with so much compassion? He did because all these while that he was away, his father’s heart went after him. That’s the same with God too. He cares for us. It doesn’t matter what we have done, His heart is always after us.

Jesus asked in ¶¶Luke 15:4 (KJV), “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”

Now see what happened next after his father received him home… In verse 22 to 24, the father organised a big welcome party for him using the biggest Ram available. While doing that he gave him a robe and put a ring in his fingers because he wasn’t looking like the Prince he was when he got back home. While the prodigal son had awaken to the realization of who he was, the brother didn’t as accounted in verses 25 to 28. The brother was angry with His father for the lavish party and complaining that he has never received such. The father’s response shows us that even though all that was left of his father’s estate belongs to him, he wasn’t aware of it. He was complaining in the midst of plenty. You must know who you are. Begging is not your portion. You are a prince with God.

¶¶Psalms 50:10-12 (KJV) says, “10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof”.

¶¶Romans 8:16-17 (KJV) says, “16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together”.

Hallelujah! Glorious fortunes and increase are yours. You need to come into your senses and know who you are. Stop begging for contracts. Stop begging for jobs. When you are praying, pray differently! Pray with understanding and not with beggarly attitude. Stop allowing people to describe you with your job or with your car. You are born a royalty. You are Abraham seed.

Abraham carried the THING. He carried the blessing. Abraham knew that he was a God made man. He was like an electric cable. If you come against him, the anointing upon him will shock you. If you connect to him, it will benefit you. Isaac said to Jacob in ¶¶Genesis 27:29 (KJV), “Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee”.

Say this…
I refuse to be a pauper.
I know who I am.
I can’t fail.
I can never be poor in life.
I know who I am.
I have glorious fortunes and increase.

In Jesus Name, Amen!

In Him,
~Ali Papa.
