Stay The Course (7)

Hebrews 5:13-14 (KJV) says, “13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil”.

In the course of this sermon, I have said to you that milk is for babies but if you continue to use milk you will become unskilled. No one is expected to continue with milk because you won’t be skilful and your won’t know how to handle the issues of life.

You must form the habit of using the Word of God. Done just hear it, you must use it. You must constantly use the Word of God because that is what determines your maturity.

¶¶Hebrews 4:15 (KJV) says, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin”.

The same way your physical faculties have a sense of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch, your Spirit has those senses too. Your Spirit has the sense of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch.

That you are in Church today is not enough to say that you have heard His Word. The Words you hear has to become an habitual use. The Word you hear must be digested. It must be chewed.

There is a way a righteous man should think. ¶¶Luke 1:17 (KJV) says, “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord”.

That will not happen over night but you have to constantly practice using the Word.

¶¶Genesis 1:26 (KJV) says, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”.

How does this function? When you study His Word you start thinking the way He thinks. There has to be a reprogramming of the way you think. As you find yourself growing up you will start thinking in the way of the things that influences you. Your environment has a lot to do with the way you think. Let the Word of God be your environment.

It’s very important who you associate with. Do you love going to church? Do you love to open your Bible and read it? Do you have the habitual use of the Word?

¶¶Psalms 1:1-2 (KJV) says, “1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night”.

You can wake up from sleep to a negative news and you will start declaring, “the Lord is my Shepherd”. There are others who will not know what to say in the same circumstances.

Man is a spirit and lives in a body but there is an advantage in developing your Spirit. When your Spirit is not developed, you are like that man even though he is born again, he looks ordinary. When you don’t grow your spirit, you will look like a white horse.

The way a mother will try to quiet a baby crying inside an airplane is the same way you need to discipline your mind. Through training, teaching, grooming, a little baby grows to stop doing wild things, pooping on the bed, etc.

There is a training going on and your Spirit needs that grooming otherwise it can’t do anything for you.

The second reason why your spirit must be developed is so that you can become responsive.

Your Spirit must digest the Word until it affects the way you think and gives you a new mindset. If the message hasn’t changed you it means it hasn’t entered you. God’s words must be digested because there is something in it for you.

Let your way of worship be different and acceptable to God. ¶¶Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) says, “1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.

When you get born again, it was your Spirit that got born again and not your mind. The moment you get born again, a process of renewal of your mind must start. I want you to know that it’s possible as a born again Christian to remember your old life and not feel bad. That is why Romans 12:2 (KJV) says, “.. but be ye transformed…” It’s saying, be metamorphosed, be transformed, otherwise you will be conformed.

¶¶2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”.

Never forget, the person that needs to change is your spirit man. Remember when Adam was in the garden he functioned with his spiritual mind but when he died spiritually, his physical eyes started seeing nakedness.

When you use your physical eyes, all you will ever see is negativity. All you will ever see are issues BUT when you use your spiritual eyes, all you will see are His glory. Until your spirit is develop all you will see and be left with are your natural eyes.

¶¶2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”.

¶¶2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” .

To behold is to see with your spiritual eyes and not with your physical eyes. Elisha’s servant couldn’t see with his spiritual eyes until God opened his eyes to see differently.

¶¶2 Kings 6:15-17 (KJV) says, “15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha”.

Today, we don’t depend on physical things to see with our spiritual eyes. When we develop our Spirit we can see spiritually. The more you develop your Spirit the more you will see. ¶¶Job 22:29 (KJV) says, “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person”.

The Amplified Version of ¶¶2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP) says, “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit”.

If your Spirit can focus on the Word continually, you are bound to change from one degree of glory to another. As you keep looking at the scriptures you might not know that things are changing but you are deleting fear files.

¶¶Psalms 27:1 (KJV) says, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

As you continue to look you will be changed. You’ll no longer say that you are broke. Why? ¶¶2 Corinthians 8:9 (AMP) says, “9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied)”.

How sad to know that many Christians are in situations and they don’t know what to do. 1 John 5:11-12 (KJV) says, “11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life”.

We were asked to pray fervidly in the spirit. Declare that God’s divine life is working in our whole spirit, soul and body, producing in us everything that is consistent with eternal life.

We prayed and announced our dominion over demons, disease and death. We also testified that “greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world”.

The Word will produce in you that which is consistent with His eternal life. It will produce wealth in you. It will give me prosperity. Begin to look at the Word from today. In your car look at the Word by listening to the Word. Though you are driving, your spiritual eyes knows what your physical eyes are seeing. Let the Word be closed to you irrespective of where you are. To look at the Word is not only when you look at it with physically, but by listening to it too.

If the Word of God had not entered you Spirit, you will not change. You must look at the Word because your mind has an attitude. ¶¶Ephesians 4:22-23 (KJV) says, “22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”.

The way your mind thinks was acquired over time. That is the same way your spirit man, the attitude of your mind needs to be trained over time. As you look you are changed. At you look some files are deleting.

There are those with phobia for flight. There are those who refuse to go out once it’s dark. There are those who have an attitude of mind concerning their menstrual period. You must delete such attitudes now. You must transcend from here. You must get to a level where your flesh doesn’t control you again. If you still get offended it means your Spirit is not trained.

Jesus had the opportunity to help himself at the cross but he didn’t. His Spiritual eyes were open to know what was before Him. He was fulfilling a prophecy in Isaiah.

“Isaiah 53:5-7 (KJV) says, “5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth”.

That is what happens when you have come into maturity. ¶¶Ephesians 4:24 (KJV) says, “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”.

You must wear your new nature so that your old man can no longer be seen. Why? Your new man is created in righteousness and true holiness.

¶¶James 1:21-24 (KJV) says, “21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was”.

Isn’t this an irony? When you look at the mirror and you don’t know what you look like, you must come back. You must learn to look with the eyes of your spirit.

¶¶James 1:25 (KJV) says, “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed”.

Say this…
I’m going to continue looking.

If you continue to look at the Word where will fibroid be coming from? The Amplified Version of ¶¶James 1:25 (AMP) says, “25 But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience)”.

If you will continue to look, you can perform surgery in your house. Stop saying that you are pregnant and now you are bleeding. Put His Word in your mouth instead of crying. The only agent of change is God’s word. Nothing else can change you.

The point of this message (¶¶James 1:25) is the inattention of the viewer. That is why it is very important that when you are looking at His Word, you pay attention. Stop saying your eyes are getting blurred, look at the Word and perform a miracle.

Learn to “Activate The Power” in you. ¶¶Ephesians 5:18-20 says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”.

You’re responsible for activating His power in you. When you pray in tongues, you stir up that power. Another way to experience the release of the power of God in your life is by declaring God’s Word. For example, when you declare, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me”; “I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”; “The Lord is the strength of my life”; it won’t be long before you’re filled with the Spirit.

You can turn the power on whenever you choose —whenever you are— by speaking in tongues, and declaring the Word with boldness. Stir up that power right now; declare the Word with faith, speaking in tongues as well. Before long, your spirit will be activated and the glory of God will be revealed through you.

Let your focus be in the doing of His Word. People are failing in life because they have forgotten God’s Word.

¶¶Matthew 7:24 (KJV) says, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”

Night and day people are building their physical bodies but there is the spiritual man who needs to be fed and built up.

¶¶Matthew 7:25-26 (KJV) says, “25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:”

Paul said in ¶¶Acts 20:24 (KJV), “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God”.

David said in ¶¶Psalms 27:2 (KJV), “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell”.

There must be something that is causing you to keep standing. You are not the foolish man who Jesus was talking about in ¶¶Matthew 7:26. You will do all that you are hearing now. Your will put them to work.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

In the realm of the Spirit, medicine is a sinking sand, engineering is a sinking sand. The psalmist said in ¶¶Psalms 71:5 (ESV), “For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O LORD, from my youth”.

¶¶Matthew 7:27 (KJV) says, “And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it” .

Change is possible! That’s why a criminal can say amazing grace with all that he did. At the foot of the cross, change is possible. If it’s possible to an armed robber how much more you that is Christ? You can change anything concerning your finances, marriage, job, health, etc.

Stop here did a moment. Open your mouth now and pray because change is possible.

As you pray now, remember that you have an attitude of mind, a kind of programming that you have had. You can change it now. Stop having an attitude that think someone is against you. Stop sowing seeds of fear. You will pray and that Spirit of fear will leave now.

God wants you to become a success through your spirit. “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” – Mark 9:23 (KJV).

Don’t forget Luke 1:17. This is a project. Until you think with the law of the Spirit of life somethings will not change. There are those that are programmed with the spirit of death but not you. Not you! That way of thinking is from the natural man.

¶¶Luke 1:17 (KJV) says, “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord”.

Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”. Your thinking is a project. From your thinking you release things into the air. Stop being afraid of someone trying to poison you.

¶¶Mark 16:18 (KJV) says, “They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”.

Say this…
My thinking is a project and I am coming out with a different result.

When you receive Christ you have passed from death to life. John 5:24 (KJV), “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”.

We don’t die. Stop giving attention to physical or spiritual death. Have this mentality. We don’t die!

In Him,
~Ali Papa.
