Don’t Let Your Faith Slip

Beloved of God,

There is a place of rest for the child of God according to Hebrews 4:11. You can’t enter into that rest by your physical power but by studying and applying His Word alone.

¶¶Hebrews 4:11 (AMP) says, “Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and STRIVE DILIGENTLY to enter that REST [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell]”.

Don’t get casual about the Word. Don’t make the mistake of thinking, Oh, I know all that faith stuff. If you do, you’ll slack off and one of these days the devil will catch you unprepared and steal you blind. Always remember that His Word is able to make you what it talks about.

¶¶Hebrews 4:12 (AMP) says, “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of thebreath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart”.

Besides having a quite time with God and His Word on your own, going to Church or a fellowship meeting is an opportunity for you to hear His Word. At such a time you can do two things:

  1. Attend the service, come with your guests and allow others to be strengthened because of your presence just as you are going to get blessed too.
  2. Give excuses why you can’t attend, allow your faith to slip and life goes on.

Whichever one you decide to do, remember to dig more deeply in the Word than ever. Labor! Be diligent to keep your faith from slipping and you won’t have to fall!

In His Grip,
Ali Papa.
