Sometimes in life, the people who are the closest to you and those around you will not notice the good and beautiful things you do for them until you stop doing them. At this point, most if not all of them will start calling you names, they will insult you and tell everyone that cares to listen how bad and terrible you are.
Don’t let yourself stay sad because of the dirts thrown at you. Don’t hold grudges because of the negative things people are saying. God designed your hands to hold blessings. But if you hold grudges, with which hand can you hold blessings? So forgive and forget. Grudges only weigh you down and inspire unhappiness and grief. Soar above it, and remember that everyone makes mistakes.
James 1:2 (CEV) says, “My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble”.
Consider it pure joy when it looks like your world is crashing down on you. Don’t stress. Do your best. Forget the rest. No one is capable of understanding why you decided to walk away from your comfort zone. No one is capable of understanding why you decided to focus on taking care of yourself for once in your life instead of constantly sacrificing for others. No one is capable of understanding all that God has laid in your heart to do. Your Pastor will not, your parents, spouse, children, colleagues, friends and the world will not. The only person that understands you is your creator, God. He is the only one that knows that you are in a new season of of your life. So don’t worry about what everyone else is doing, worry about doing what God has asked you to do. Fuel your mind with positive thoughts. It will always take you in the right direction.
Psalms 34:19 (NIV) says, “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all”. So it doesn’t matter who is against you, sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. It doesn’t matter if those around you have failed to see the hand of God in what you are doing, forgive them even if they’re not sorry. If your spouse doesn’t see anything good in you anymore, forgive him or her and move on. Those who are hardest to love need it the most and that is why the greatest love is shown in bad times – Romans 5:8 NLT. When you choose to forgive those who have hurt you, you take away their power.
I don’t know your journey and the season of life you are in but I am encouraging you to stay strong knowing that your test will become your test-imony and your mess will become your mess-age. Bishop Dale C. Bronner says, “Out of every season of life there are some things you should take with you and there are some things you should leave behind. Know what’s necessary for the season you are in! Discernment is key!”. Brothers and sisters, today is your day! This is your season now. It’s your season to shine. It’s your season to sing a new song. It’s your season to say YES to God and NO to everything and everyone that’s not bringing you closer to God. It’s your season of the miraculous where everything will work together for your good.
Stay the course today and on purpose. Live a life you are proud of. Choose to look on the bright side. Make the choice to forgive. Choose to let go of the situation or person whose actions have held you captive. Forgive them by faith and by an act of your will.
May God give you the ability to tolerate more and the strength to keep going even when you don’t feel like it.
