It’s Choice Not Chance

At one point in your life, you have probably asked someone to pray for you. There is nothing wrong with that but as you grow in His Word, you will realize that you have a responsibility to pray for yourself rather than delegating it. You are not imposing on God by declaring His goodness and favour.

When tests and trails come your way, you can either let them plant themselves in your life and put pressure on you or you can use your faith muscles to push those trails out of your life. If you can hold on to that Name that is above every other Name this very day and hour, if only you have the faith to believe, to trust, and to call Him, then every knee shall bow, your challenges will go, those mountains will crumble. So trust Him to build and protect you. Do your part, but look to Him for guidance and strength. And trust Him to do what you cannot do. Sometimes you may feel that God is hard on you and doesn’t love you but the truth is He loves you too much to leave you the way you are.

God is not moved by your condition but by your conclusion. He is not moved by what happens to you but how you respond to it. It’s choice – not chance – that determines your destiny. Who you’re on the inside is more important than what your body looks like. It may seem unbearable and inside you’re basically saying, “God, I can’t take it anymore. I just can’t take it anymore!” Don’t quit. Resist discouragement and finish the race God has set before you. It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

I encourage you to take your mind away from fear today, it’s not in your nature to fear, God has not given you the spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and a sound mind. Trusting God is more that what you can see. Walk by FAITH and not by sight.

Today, stay the course and on purpose. Let your past make you BETTER not BITTER.

In Him,
Ali Papa.

Keep Seeing Your Victory

Dearly beloved,

You might feel afflicted today, but God is working to bring you out of that difficult situation. It may not be in the way you thought, but you have to trust that God has your best interest at heart. “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all” – Psalm 34:19.

Afflictions can take on many forms – a sickness or hardship, a temptation, a coworker or family member. There are so many things that can come against us, but God promises in His Word that no weapon formed against us shall prosper! Then Jesus said in John 11:40, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”.

Those afflictions are only temporary. Stand in faith today believing that God is on your side. Remember, you and God are a majority. It doesn’t matter what your circumstances look like, get up every morning and say, “This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

As you stand and trust the Lord, keep seeing your vistory, He will deliver you out of all your afflictions, and you’ll see His hand of blessing in every area of your life.

In Him,
Ali Papa.

He Gave You His Word – Do Something With It!

Words are powerful. Words carry authority. Watch your words. Proverbs 6:2 says “You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth”.

God created the world with spoken words. And because God dwells in us, therefore our words also carry authority. “For assuredly, I say to you . . . he will have whatever he says” – Mark 11:23.

The words you speak are important and carry more weight than you may realize. Words can get you into trouble. And words can deliver you.

Isaiah 50:4 says, “The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned”.

The most powerful and life – giving words in the universe are those spoken by God the Creator. Fortunately for us, some of what God has said has been written down, for our benefit, in the Bible. Others are given to us through His Spirit in us, others through our friends and others through our Pastors. We should at all times speak words that are in agreement with what God says.

Know what to do with what God has told you just as Joseph knew what to do with what his father told him. Everything you’ll ever need this year is in His Word. With this understanding, be bold to call yourself what God has called you. When we do, the power of God is released. Don’t ever allow your happiness to depend on something you may lose. Your happiness begins and ends with His Word on your lips. God promised that if you will stay in faith, He will take what’s meant for your harm and use it for your good.

My question for you today: Why worry when you don’t have to? Caring is an option. Focus on the positive. Ignore the negative. Don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in faith. Light a fire on the inside. You have the seed of Almighty God. Don’t allow something small to keep you from God’s best. Decree a thing and it shall be established… Death and life are in the power of your tongue. So don’t complain. Decree a thing!

In Him,
Ali Papa.
Vistas of Hope

It’s Not You. It’s Them.

Beloved of God,

We live in a a very negative world today where we are either defined by the number of followers we have on social media, how politically correct we are, the number of children we have, the type of work that we do, our religious beliefs, the nation that we are from or how we look and who we associate with people. This fear of criticism has driven many to either commit suicide, become timid, antisocial, live in self defeat, have a low self esteem and withdrawn.

Are you a victim of hate crime? Are been bullied by those who should be cheering you up? Are those who are supposed to love you the ones criticizing you and tearing you down? Are you been told that your best is never enough? Don’t wait for anyone’s approval before you take that next step. Don’t wait for anyone’s approval before you validate yourself. Do what you feel in your heart to be right – for you’ll always be criticized anyway.

What is it that you want to do today? Go ahead and do it! There’s enough power in you to bring those glorious dreams to pass. Don’t be bothered about those who criticize you. If they know you they won’t criticize you. So keep proclaiming the Word and declaring your identity in Christ and you’ll be on your way to a fulfilled dream. But remember, you are going to get criticized because of the money that is coming to you. You are going to get criticized for lack of money. You are going to get criticized for daring to be different. You are going to get criticized for your boldness to confront the status quo. You are going to get criticized for living in a big house, driving a luxury car, embarking on that overdue vacation, dating the “wrong” person and for piercing your nose, etc. The bottomline is that you can’t please everybody. So don’t worry when they are not pleased. It’s not you. It’s them.

It doesn’t matter who is talking you down, never criticize a man that you want or desire to be like. ¶¶Romans 15:7 NIV says, “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God”. You have only two choices, accept people, or reject them. When you realize this, it may change the way you treat people. When you criticize or condemn people, you communicate rejection. Although you may not agree with someone over certain issues, find out on what you can agree with them. Love them and pray for them; don’t criticize and backbite. You don’t have to associate with someone to pray for them. You can avoid them, get the strife out of your life, and still remain in a position to pray for them.

So go ahead today and be you. Go ahead and be original. As you do, stay the course and on purpose. When people judge, criticize, shame or ridicule you in front of others, it isn’t because of anything you’ve done. It’s because they have their own small and selfish needs. Don’t take it personal. Practice Ephesians‬ ‭4:29 and rest. ¶¶Ephesians 4:29 (BBE) says, “Let no evil talk come out of your mouth, but only what is good for giving necessary teaching, and for grace to those who give ear”. So it doesn’t matter who is against you, God is on your case. ¶¶Psalms 23:5 (CEV) says, “You treat me to a feast, while my enemies watch. You honor me as your guest, and you fill my cup until it overflows”.

Today, I pray “that your love will flourish and that you will not only love much but well. Learn to love appropriately. You need to use your head and test your feelings so that your love is sincere and intelligent, not sentimental gush. Live a lover’s life, circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of” – ¶¶Philippians 1:9-10 (MSG).

As you step out in faith today, may there not be any delay between the Word of God in your mouth and the execution of that word in the earth.

You are loved!

Ali Papa.

Enough Is Enough!

Dearly Beloved,

The most encouraging word that is usually given to everyone of us is “don’t give up”. We hear this all the time from our parents, our siblings, friends, mentors and from the pulpit.

While it’s very important for us not to give up on people, not to give up on our dreams, not to give up on life and everything and everyone that’s so dear to us, giving up doesn’t always mean you’re weak. sometimes it means you are strong and smart enough to let go and move on.

It takes a strong man or woman to move on in life knowing that God’s got him or her. It takes a strong man or woman to let go of his own understanding knowing that God’s Word will always be a light in his path of life. Abraham left his family, culture and all that was dear to him to an unknown land that God was going to show him.

Genesis 12:1-4 (KJV) says:
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

While it is important to sometimes give up on everything that is not bringing you closer to God and His Word, don’t let go of your confidence in God, no matter what you see around. Don’t turn to the left or to the right because something is happening, God needs your faith because of where He is taking you to.

Whenever you refuse to let go of the wrong things in your life and if all that you need to do to be able to move to the next and higher level of success in your life is to let go, you become very bitter. The risk there is that bitterness could hinder you from your next level. Bitterness is a killer. You need to help yourself and let go of the past. You deserve to be happy for others and as you do God would cause things to turn around for you.

Brothers and sisters, you should never forget that life is a theater… You have the responsibility of inviting your audience carefully. Not everyone in your life is healthy enough to have a front row seat in your life. There are some people in your life who need to be loved from a DISTANCE. Life is about moving on, accepting changes and looking forward to what makes you stronger and more complete.

It is amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of – or minimize your time with – those draining, negative, incompatible, ‘not-going- anywhere’ relationships or friendships. Your brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can’t go
on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

Today is a new day, observe the relationships around you. Pay close attention… Which ones lift, and which ones lean? Which ones encourage, and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill, and which ones are going downhill? When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama, or don’t really understand, know or appreciate you & the gifts that lie within you? Don’t allow your future to be defined by your past. That is why it’s your past. Let go of yesterday. Let go of that regret. This is your day now.

I know how hard it is for us to walk away from our comfort zone but remember that the devil lied, tried to kill your dreams many times through your friends and acquaintances, he tried to destroy your hope and steal your joy many times. He didn’t win. You made it but you could have gone very far compared to where you are right now. So step out in faith today, God brought you this far. He is not about to leave you empty now.

Every day is a NEW beginning, take a deep breath and START AGAIN. Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Don’t let their battles become yours. Be kind to them and to yourself. Let go and trust that God will take you to places! I pray that may every situation turn around into the new for you in the name of Jesus.

In Him,
Ali Papa.

His Name Is At Stake

In every nation of the earth today, things are getting tougher, terror is on the increase, poverty is hitting many more BUT the WORD of God remains the same. No matter how long it’s taking or how long you’ve been waiting, DON’T GIVE UP! No matter how “impossible” it may look to you, GOD HAS A PLAN. If you stay in Faith, your set time is coming. God has every intention of bringing life to the desires and dreams he placed in your heart. Declare by faith today, MY TIME IS COMING!

2 Corinthians 4:8-9, 13 (KJV) says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”.

God will never put you to shame for trusting in Him… Never! His name is at stake.

Brothers and Sisters, you may be hard pressed today, but know that your hope in God will keep you from being crushed; it will keep you from being perplexed. Your hope in God will keep you from despair; it will keep you from persecution. Your hope in God tells us we’re not abandoned or struck down, because our God keeps us from being destroyed.

I am encouraging you today to fix your hope and your confidence on the Lord. He is the best foundation to stand on. All other ground is sinking sand. God will never put you to shame for trusting in Him… Never! His name is at stake. You can have peace in the midst of a storm. You can have joy when things are uncertain. You can have hope when circumstances seem hopeless. Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly – John 10:10.

Psalm 25:3 NLT says, “No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced (put to shame), but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others”.

Refuse to be moved by your circumstances. Today is not as dark as some men would have you believe. Today is not as desolate and desperate as the media so often would portray. There is hope for you. Today is the day of the Lord – a day of deliverance, a day of blessing, a day of visitation. Let your actions and His Words on your lips agree with each other. You are a victor predestined to win. You are a package of blessing. You are Abraham’s seed, full of the Holy Ghost and power.

I pray for you today and declare that you will not be put to shame. May God perfects all that concerns you today in Jesus name. Amen.

Be Blessed!

In Him,
~Ali Papa.

Faithbook Profile

Have you ever been at a place in your life where you felt the Lord was telling you to let go of the situation and trust in Him, but all you could see was how things looked from a logical, human perspective? I have been there many times but each time I let go I am encouraged to know that God is living out a divine plan through me because of my faith in Him (Mark 11:22).

Walking by faith is not always easy but I want you to look at the heroes of faith and you will see people who believed it before they saw it. You will see people who went when God said ‘go’ even though they didn’t know where they were going or what it would be like when they got there.  You will see people who walked by faith and not by sight.

We are told in Hebrews 11:1 that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” The New International Version translates that verse this way “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” What is God calling you to do that will require you to step into a walk of faith? Faith is believing God and acting on what you believe. What are your beliefs? All eyes are on you now because of your faith. The fight of faith is on! Whatever mountain of difficulty you have, be it a mountain of debt or serious health condition, Jesus says in Mark 11:23, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

You may not be there yet, but you’re closer than you were yesterday. Have faith in God. Give your faith a target. Go ahead and update your “Faithbook” status. If it’s weak, take in more of of God’s Word. Say to yourself: Faith is the cure that heals all my troubles. I am of good cheer. I am not afraid. I fear not. Speak to whatever you are facing today. Declare that your faith is in God’s Word and you are coming out this triumphantly by the grace of God!

For every problem, God already has the solution! He can turn around any situation. His goodness, mercy, grace and love are following us today. Doors of opportunity are being opened. Bondages of lack and fear be gone in Jesus’ name. When we are tempted, he will provide a way out so that we can stand up under it – 1 Cor 1013. We are protected, we are healed, and we know that everything will work out right.

Joy Is Coming

Dearly Beloved,

Everyone you meet today, you and I included, are going through one stuff or the other. To some, it’s in their marriages, to others their finances, jobs, health and safety. Nothing that is happening to us today is new before God. We are told in the Bible that Ruth was pushed into her inheritance – an event I call “Deliberate Grace”.

¶Ruth 2:15-16 says, “And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not: 16 And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not”.

This was a turning point in the life of Ruth. It was her day of joy! That was the morning of her life. You may not have seen your best days but ¶Psalm 102:13 says the time to favour you, the set time to favour you has come. ¶Psalm 30:5 says weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning. If you are a person of faith, it doesn’t matter how dark your conditions may seem to be right now, you can be rest assured that a brighter day is on the way.  Jesus Christ said in ¶Acts 6:21, blessed are they which weep now for they shall laugh. So it doesn’t matter the negative report that is before you, it doesn’t matter what is causing you sleepless night, if you will hold on to the faith you profess, your joy is around the corner. (Amen!)

¶Psalm 84:6, NLT says, When you walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.

It is possible that you are in the midst of a trouble right now, and you are probably saying it will never be over. But, believe me, it will! God has said weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Tomorrow morning you just might be saying I didn’t know it will be this quick. The day you wake up is your morning and today is the morning of your life.

The morning of your joy is here. Refuse to be moved by what you see around you. Refuse to be intimidated by your challenges instead be moved by His Word. Don’t allow any excuse to keep you from trusting God and His Word. You have to know the nature of your adversary before you can be successful. If you do not know the arrow that is directed at you from the devil how can you defend yourself?

Saints, you must not faint in the day of adversary otherwise your strength was weak. The weapons of your warfare are not canal. You can talk yourself into believing in His Word. ¶2 Corinthians 5:7 says “For we walk by faith, not by sight”. If you are expected to walk by faith and not by sight, then you should wake up every day, give voice to your joy in the midst of your circumstances and boldly declare that…

The time to favor me has come!
The morning of my joy has come!
My light has come!
My light has come!
It is time for me to arise and shine!
I will arise and I will shine!
Joy comes to me! (Nehemiah 8:10)
Glory be to God!
Glory be to God!

Brothers and sisters, everything will be alright because today is the morning of your life. In that joy there will be strength to keep on moving and keep on going in the right way. In that joy there will be courage to keep on moving in the right plan day after day after day after day. Stop wasting tonight when there is joy coming tomorrow. There is joy that brings supernatural strength to contend for the future and know with a surety that it will be alright. Everything will turn out and it will turn out alright! Hallelujah.

Today is the day to give voice to your joy. Jerry Savelle said in his book, If Satan Can’t Steal Your Joy:

You may be discouraged; but once you begin to offer a sacrifice of joy, it won’t be a sacrifice anymore. Then it becomes an act of your will. Satan is after your joy – and he doesn’t care what evil tactic he has to use to get it. If you’ve never realized this before, learn now: Satan wants your joy! Why? Very simple. The Word produces joy. If he can get the Word out of your heart, he can stop that flow of joy. Once he gets your joy, he has you and everything you possess. If he can capture your joy, he has defeated you. But Jesus said, Your joy no man taketh from you (¶John 16:22). If no man can take it, then neither can the Devil – unless you allow it. Instead of giving up when Satan tries to spoil your goods and steal from you, you need to give voice to joy.

I know there are ups and downs, turns in the road, different ideas and different plans but joy is coming and that situation will not last. If your sun has set, it will rise again. Darkness always has an expiration date. It will not last forever. “Weeping may endure for a night but JOY is coming!” – ¶Psalms 30:5. This is the morning of your life, it is your morning of joy and you are chosen of the Lord. It’s a new day and a new dawn! A new day of joy is dawning for you. No weapon formed or fashioned against you shall prosper. Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning.

May you have the right answers at the right time! Whatever that has been draining you for years will dry up and lose their power over you. I see joy coming up for you in the morning, may your dreams move you into greatness, lifting, peace, security and gladness; in Jesus mighty name! Amen.

In Him,
Ali Papa.

God Has Handled Everything

Dearly Beloved,

It’s a new week  and with it comes blessings, opportunities and sometimes the unexpected – challenges, uncertainty and the fear of the unknown. For those who are in a blessed mess already, and to those of you whom things aren’t working out as you wish, I am ensouraging you to be patient. Stop trying to move ahead of God. His timing is perfect. King David said in Psalms 37:25 (CEV), “As long as I can remember, good people have never been left helpless, and their children have never gone begging for food”.

You don’t need to worry or be afraid for your future – His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jer. 29:11). You don’t need to be afraid at night – a thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you (Ps. 91:7). You don’t need to bother about your needs – the Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want (Ps. 23:1). You don’t need to worry about your supplies – all things are yours (1 Cor. 3:21) and my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19).

Rest well today knowing that God has handled everything that concerns you to perfection; Glory to His Name forever! It’s a new day! Trust God more than you trust yourself. He is been where you’re trying to go. “Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.” – Joshua 21:45. That would be your testimony too. All His promises concerning you would be fulfilled in Jesus Name. So keep seeing your victory, keep seeing your success, keep seeing your advancement. Don’t look down. This is the season of your rising. Our Papa has given us the land with a greater light to rule it. The world belongs to you – Hallelujah!

I pray that all the words that has gone ahead of you come to pass in Jesus Name and that the world may know that indeed, Christ in you is your hope of Glory.

In Him,
Ali Papa.
