He’s Not Ashamed of You

Beloved of God,

Often times people tend to focus so much on their weight, self-doubt, lack of faith, challenges at work, finances, mistakes, and how they have messed up in their relationships or marraiges. We focus so much on how we have messed up in life instead of focusing on the Grace of God.

God didn’t create you to live a life of regret. God didn’t create you an opharn that’s without help. God didn’t create you to watch you go through a life of poverty. God created and called you into a life of faith. When you utilize your faith, Hebrews 11:16 says, “God is not ashamed to be called your God”.

Instead of focusing on all the bad, be thankful for all the good. Each day you have is a blessing from God. Put away your self-doubt, your question of worth, your lack of faith in your ability. Stop being embarrassed. God is not ashamed to be identified with you even at your worst. HE BELIEVES IN YOU!

Every situation that is before you today all have an expiration date. That’s why God is not ashamed to start afresh with you. He is not afraid of a new beginning with you. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Yes you are a sinner. God is not surprised by that. They said you’re unworthy, but God is not ashamed to call you His child. It doesn’t matter how terrible your mistakes are, they are not a surprise to God. Refuse to be defined by your mistakes. You might have fallen short sometimes, God is still not ashamed of you. He’s not scandalized by you. He’s not surprised by you. He loves you. We all have a past we are ashamed of but God is not ashamed of us.

If you are divorce or separated, God is not ashamed of you. Sometimes God removes things from our lives for our own protection. So trust in Him. If you are out of job, God is not ashamed of you. God is not ashamed of your resumé! If everyone is treating you like an outcast in your local congregation, God will not. If they don’t want to sit next to you in Church, fine! God will! No matter how poor, hated, left alone you are, God is not ashamed of being your God, He loves you for who you are. God is not ashamed of your story; you don’t need to be either. Don’t worry about what they think. Don’t worry about the name they call you. God is not ashamed to call you his child. His heart is swollen with unconditional love, joy, hope and protection for you. God is not ashamed of you when you are bound in chains, He only wants you to turn to Him.

1 Timothy 1:16 (CEV) says, “But since I was worse than anyone else, God had mercy on me and let me be an example of the endless patience of Christ Jesus. He did this so that others would put their faith in Christ and have eternal life”.

If people are ashamed of you because you are radical, God is not ashamed to be called your God! God loves the lowly. He is not ashamed of the lowliness of human beings. Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers. Hebrews 2:11 (CEV) says, “Jesus and the people he makes holy all belong to the same family. That is why he isn’t ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters”.

Even though you make mistakes, God is not ashamed to be called your God. I am encouraging you to hear this, believe it, and live it! God is not ashamed to be Identified with the parts of you that you think you need to hide. If you know Jesus, God is not ashamed to be called your God – no matter how ashamed you are of your past or your present. Here’s God’s promise to you: “I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support.” (Heb. 13:5)

Rest knowing that what God has for you, He has for you. Nobody can take it away from you. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of God will raise you up as a standard against it. Rest knowing that God is not ashamed to be called your God. Rest knowing that change is coming your way. Rest knowing that help will come. Rest knowing that every need shall be supplied in Jesus’ name!

  1. Beautifully said, ‘Rest knowing that what God has for you, He has for you. Nobody can take it away from you.’ Perfect for these restless and desperate times we live in. But we thank Jesus for revealing to us that no man can receive anything except it comes from God our heavenly Father. More gracious favours to you!
    Always in my prayers 😉
