As Your Soul Prospers

Your prosperity, your level of financial success is the level at which your soul prospers.

3 John 1:2 (WBS) says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.

God will not throw Dollars at your face because you are in Christ. They will not fall from Heaven because you are an American or an African. God’s going to

  1. Plant the seed of prosperity in your mind
  2. In your will and
  3. In your emotions

As they grow, they will produce a great financial harvest. So what you need right now is not money. What you need is wisdom. That is what Joseph had.

Genesis 39:1-4 (WBS) says, “1 Joseph was brought down to Egypt: and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmaelites, who had brought him down thither. 2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man: and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand. 4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand”.

  • Joseph was sold as a slave to the Egyptians
  • Joseph had no money to his name
  • Joseph had no freedom. He was now a slave.

  • In the middle of his slavery God gave him wisdom and ability such that his owner became prosperous.
  • His wisdom and ability led him to became the one in charge of all his masters possessions. That’s prosperity.

  •  God gave him insight that no other man in Egypt had. This is what the Holy Spirit will do for you today. He will give you insight into realities.
  • The insight landed him a position on Pharaoh’s staff because the Lord was with Joseph. Genesis 39:21 (WBS) says, “But the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison”.
  • While in prison, Joseph was still prospering.
  • From prison he became the Prime Minister of Egypt because of his insights.
  • During famine Joseph was in charge of all the food. That’s prosperity!

How did God accomplished all that?

  • By prospering Joseph’s soul.

Your responsibility is to open yourself to His Word. As you do, no matter how impossible things may seem, no matter how dismal your situation has become, God is able to reveal the spiritual secrets to you that would open the door of success. God can do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond, but you have to “Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth” – Proverbs 4:5 (KJV).

God’s word will work everywhere and anywhere. It will work in the poorest countries on the face of the earth and it will work for you too.

God is your refuge and strength, not man, not your spouse and not your job. God is a very present help in times of trouble – Psalms 46:1.

You are not without help.

You are not without help or salvation. Don’t throw in the towel. You are not without help, without love and without support. Jesus understands everything, I mean EVERYTHING you are enduring right now! You  may feel helpless, but you are not without help.

The Lord is your Shepherd.

All things will work together for your good. God will be there in the middle of that chaos. He never leaves, even in times like these. Rest!

He’ll Restore The Wasted Years

Beloved of God,

Everyone of us is on a journey of faith and as you read this letter, you are definitely in one street of life or the other. You might be in a comfortable place or in a place that is not so comfortable. Irrespective of which street of life you are today, what you must understand is that God never brought you this far just to leave you. You made it this far because God brought you this far. It was nothing but the grace of God that brought you this far. His love brought you this far and it’s going to take you beyond this point too. Expect God to come through. He has His way of keeping His promises. He said in Hebrews 13:5, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

The one that brought you this far, the one that brought you into that job or out of that job, into or out of that marriage/relationship, into or out of that home, into or out of that city, into or out of that “blessed mess” is not sleeping. “The one who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he will do it!” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.

I don’t know for how long your situation has lasted, don’t allow the wasted years to give you sleepless nights. God always has a relief for every sorrow and a plan for every tomorrow. He alone can bring you joy unspeakable! Today is the day of salvation! God is in complete control. Get up each day expecting His favor. What defines you is how well you rise after falling. No matter what is in this world, no matter the situation you are faced with at work or at home, no matter who is against you, God is more than enough! For every wasted years of your life, His Grace is sufficient for you. For every poor choices of your life, His Grace is available for you. God’s answers to every mess of your life is His Grace. Don’t waste your time searching for those wasted years. God is the redeemer of every wasted years. The “welcome home” to every prodigal son.

We all have setbacks in our yesterdays. But your past doesn’t define your future. Today is a new day. 2 Peter 3:8-9 (NIV) says, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.

There is hope for you, even now. Accept every challenge as bread for you to chew. See obstacles as stepping stones for your promotion, for nothing can successfully stand against you, because you’re more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Isaiah 54:17 says no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Therefore see all seeming impossible situations today as opportunities for your testimony. Rest knowing that God has already laid out the plan for your life. He knows exactly who you’ll need, what you’ll need, and when you’ll need it. Rest knowing that through the darkness God will make a way. Rest knowing that God will restore your wasted years. He has you in the palm of His hand. He knows your every need, every struggle and every desire. He has it all figured out. He’s a supernatural God.

Beloved of God, “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears” – Philippians 1:6 (MSG). God hasn’t brought you this far to fail you or leave you stranded. Regardless of how things may look like in your finances, marriage or in your job, God is still the alpha and the omega – He had the first word and He will have the last word in your life.

May your steps continue to be ordered by the good Lord who has brought you this far as you continue to  stay the course and endure with hope.

Be blessed in the Lord’s Grace.

Stay The Course – What Is For You Is For You

Beloved of God,

It’s a new day and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to you when men call you a failure. You’re not a failure because they called you so. They may call you poor, it doesn’t mean you’re poor. They may call you a ‘nobody’ but that doesn’t make you a ‘nobody’.

You are a child of God, your success has nothing to do with the verdict or opinion of men. The only opinion that matters in life is God’s opinion of you. What He calls you is more important and let it be the name you answer.

Don’t try to be a success in the minds of others. Don’t try to be a success in the mind of your spouse. Don’t worry about what others think or say about you. Don’t allow what is trending on social media to be your standard. God’s opinion of you are the ones that count for “…that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God” (Luke 16:15).

The battle before you right now might seems unbearable but hold on. “The LORD is not dragging His feet” (2 Peter 3:9). He is extending His mercy. He has a plan and purpose. What is for you is for you. No matter how occupied a vehicle is, the drivers seat is always reserved. What is for you is for you and nothing can change that. Don’t rush the process to get your position. What is for you is for you. Your heart will lead you to it. Nobody can block the blessings you deserve to experience in life. No matter what is thrown your way or what tries to stop you if it’s yours ITS YOURS!! Don’t fight it, invite it! Don’t let people influence you to be someone else. The blessings of God will locate you wherever you are in Jesus Name. I pray that those things that are broken will be restored for you. Those things that should have been will be again. You’ll go even more into the right way. You’re a success and not a failure. Favour is yours in the Name of Jesus. I lift up all your strategies in the spirit. You’re unstoppable.

Stay the course, endure with hope and be blessed in the Lord’s Grace.
