He’ll Restore The Wasted Years

Beloved of God,

Everyone of us is on a journey of faith and as you read this letter, you are definitely in one street of life or the other. You might be in a comfortable place or in a place that is not so comfortable. Irrespective of which street of life you are today, what you must understand is that God never brought you this far just to leave you. You made it this far because God brought you this far. It was nothing but the grace of God that brought you this far. His love brought you this far and it’s going to take you beyond this point too. Expect God to come through. He has His way of keeping His promises. He said in Hebrews 13:5, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

The one that brought you this far, the one that brought you into that job or out of that job, into or out of that marriage/relationship, into or out of that home, into or out of that city, into or out of that “blessed mess” is not sleeping. “The one who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he will do it!” – 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.

I don’t know for how long your situation has lasted, don’t allow the wasted years to give you sleepless nights. God always has a relief for every sorrow and a plan for every tomorrow. He alone can bring you joy unspeakable! Today is the day of salvation! God is in complete control. Get up each day expecting His favor. What defines you is how well you rise after falling. No matter what is in this world, no matter the situation you are faced with at work or at home, no matter who is against you, God is more than enough! For every wasted years of your life, His Grace is sufficient for you. For every poor choices of your life, His Grace is available for you. God’s answers to every mess of your life is His Grace. Don’t waste your time searching for those wasted years. God is the redeemer of every wasted years. The “welcome home” to every prodigal son.

We all have setbacks in our yesterdays. But your past doesn’t define your future. Today is a new day. 2 Peter 3:8-9 (NIV) says, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”.

There is hope for you, even now. Accept every challenge as bread for you to chew. See obstacles as stepping stones for your promotion, for nothing can successfully stand against you, because you’re more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Isaiah 54:17 says no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Therefore see all seeming impossible situations today as opportunities for your testimony. Rest knowing that God has already laid out the plan for your life. He knows exactly who you’ll need, what you’ll need, and when you’ll need it. Rest knowing that through the darkness God will make a way. Rest knowing that God will restore your wasted years. He has you in the palm of His hand. He knows your every need, every struggle and every desire. He has it all figured out. He’s a supernatural God.

Beloved of God, “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears” – Philippians 1:6 (MSG). God hasn’t brought you this far to fail you or leave you stranded. Regardless of how things may look like in your finances, marriage or in your job, God is still the alpha and the omega – He had the first word and He will have the last word in your life.

May your steps continue to be ordered by the good Lord who has brought you this far as you continue to  stay the course and endure with hope.

Be blessed in the Lord’s Grace.
