Pull Yourself Together

Dearly Beloved,

Life is filled with challenges and adversity – big and small. Storms will come, many will find their way to your front door according to Psalm 34:19. The relationship that you thought would last a lifetime has fallen off track. The marriage that was supposed to bring you joy and fulfillment has becomes a silent hell. While God has promised to help you in each one of them, it is you who determines how you face those challenges.

Psalms 34:19 (NIV) says, “A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all”.

In whatever situation you are faced with today, your determination and your faith in God will be tested. Don’t give up because the quality of your character will be tested. You must keep moving. You can’t afford to lose focus or get discouraged because of situations that will pose themselves as threats. The challenges you are seeing today are for a reason. They are not there to defeat you. They came to pass! Only by these challenges can you act your faith, bring out your strength, your intelligence and your capacity.

Take time to appreciate the handiwork of God. See your challenges as moments of opportunity to persevere and put pressure on your faith. Accept the challenges before you and defeat them. Bend if you need to but don’t breakdown. Trust Him to teach and guide you. Find peace and take His direction because life will always be filled with challenges. And remember that everyone has them. So help someone else and they will surely return the favor.

May “God, your God, restore everything you lost”. May He “have compassion on you”. May He “come back and pick up the pieces” of the past year and restore you back to favor again – Deuteronomy 30:3 (MSG).

Keep praying and keep prevailing. Your leap of faith will not be in vain! Things might seem to be shifting and going out of the ordinary but God is still your restorer. Pull yourself together, stay anchored to hope, do what you can and God will do what you can’t. God can and will restore everything you lost and even give you more than you ever had before!

In Him,
Ali Papa.
