Waiting Seasons

Beloved of God,

Every single person will face one challenge or the other at some point in their lives. Some of these challenges come with long delays that are capable of changing our confessions of faith and from trusting God. For example, there is a tendency, after divorce, to live in the past which can cause a lot of emotional pains. Going back to work or moving on in life after the loss of a loved one can be hard. To the one that is without any source of income nor anything under his or her name, it is difficult to keep up. No one knows the meaning of delay and pain more than a woman who has been married for a while and still expecting the fruit of the womb.

If you’ve grown tired of where you are and you just can’t take it anymore. I want you to be encouraged that God’s delays are not always God’s denials. Whatever the circumstances that is causing a delay in your life, remember that God’s delays are not always God’s denials. He hears your prayers. In His time, He will send it because His timing is always perfect.

“8 Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. 9 Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. 10 The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. 11 He gets the last word; yes, he does” – 1 Peter 5:8-11 (MSG).

You have come too far to quit trusting God and His Word. That situation you are in, that suffering that has caused you so much pain, that “blessed mess”, that delay, will not last forever. God is about to put you on your feet for good. You may not know when and how the help you need will come but there is a confident assurance that God’s delays are not His denials. With Him a waiting season is not a wasted season. If He said it, He’s going to do it. Help is near to you in that situation.

Be blessed,
Ali Papa.
