Beloved of God,
You have worried too much over your money, job, family and children. You have worried too much over your life. It’s time to focus on others. Stop thinking about yourself alone. It’s time to start thinking like God. God wants you preoccupied with people and be a solution to their need.
Philippians 2:4-5 (NLT) says, “Don’t think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing. 5 Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had”.
You are a Christian on a mission. Be dead to yourself. Lay down your life for others and stop thinking about yourself alone. Jesus said in John 10:17 (NLT), “The Father loves me because I lay down my life that I may have it back again”.
Life is not always about you! It’s about others. It’s about His flock. It’s about his Kingdom. Jesus Himself came to serve.
Life is not always about you! It’s about others. It’s about His flock. It’s about his Kingdom. Jesus Himself came to serve. He said in Matthew 20:28 (NLT), “For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many”. In Luke 22:27 (NLT), He said, “Normally the master sits at the table and is served by his servants. But not here! For I am your servant”.
When you stop thinking about yourself alone, the world would be a better place. When you stop thinking about yourself alone, you will be able to think of everyone that hangs on your very word. Allow other people’s happiness and comfort take preeminence in whatever you do.
If you are born again, you will stop thinking about yourself alone. You will stop thinking only about what Jesus can do for you but also of what you can do for Jesus and for others. If you are self centered and all you think about is your future, your money, your job, your family, you will have so much trouble until you have so many problems to contend with.
Today is the day to stop thinking about yourself. It’s the day to get over yourself. It’s the day to stay the course and on purpose.
