Beloved of God,
If you have just finished an exam that didn’t go well, or you just came out of a bitter relationship or a marriage that ended badly, don’t beat yourself up, don’t talk yourself down, don’t get depressed, be at rest because you are not a failure. God has seen the end from the beginning already. He is your light in that situation. Micah 7:7-8 (TLB) says, “As for me, I look to the Lord for his help; I wait for God to save me; he will hear me. 8 Do not rejoice against me, O my enemy, for though I fall, I will rise again! When I sit in darkness, the Lord himself will be my Light”.
Refuse to be troubled because God is not troubled. You are not in that situation by accident — something happened.
God has seen all that will be. He has seen that injustice before it came to you. He has seen that conspiracy against you before it came. He has seen the end of your academic journey from the beginning. He has seen the end of your struggles from the beginning. He has seen the end of your life before you were born. Nothing that will ever happen to you will be a surprise to Him. Refuse to be troubled because God is not troubled. You are not in that situation by accident — something happened. You are not in that school, that city or that job by accident — something happened. That relationship or marriage didn’t come to an end by accident — something happened. Whatever it is that happened, they are working together for your good. You are going somewhere to happen and God is the One leading you. So rest knowing that whatever comes your way, God’s got you.
No matter where you are today, let me encourage you to keep going, keep seeking and start believing that God has many rewards in store for you. You may be hard-pressed and you may be going through so much pain and many regrets right now but receive divine rest knowing that God has seen the end from the beginning. What He did for one, He is able to do for anyone under the same circumstances. God is a rewarder (Hebrews 11:6), and He wants to reward you!
The days of crying yourself to sleep are coming to an end. The days of confusion are coming to an end. It won’t be long before your trails will give way to God’s restoration. You may have fallen, but you will rise again.
Every situation has an expiry date and you should have the faith that the days of your loneliness are coming to an end. The days of crying yourself to sleep are coming to an end. The days of confusion are coming to an end. It won’t be long before your trails will give way to God’s restoration. You may have fallen, but you will rise again. God will restore you to favour again because He has seen the end from the beginning. Don’t let your situation change your confession of faith.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11, 15 (TLB) says, 1 There is a right time for everything: 11 Everything is appropriate in its own time. But though God has planted eternity in the hearts of men, even so, many cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. 15 Whatever is has been long ago; and whatever is going to be has been before; God brings to pass again what was in the distant past and disappeared”.
Beloved, you have lived in the fear of the unknown for too long. That suffering, that depression, that anger, that hatred, that blessed mess, they are unnecessary. Rest because God didn’t send you here on earth to suffer. He didn’t send you to that city where you are to be shamed. No! His plans for you are for good. There is an expected end and with your eyes shall you see it.
Look beyond your situation and into the vistas of hope we have in Him.
Deuteronomy 28:13 (TLB) says, “If you will only listen and obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, he will make you the head and not the tail, and you shall always have the upper hand”. While I am not giving you a commandment, I am sharing words of faith, hope and love to help you look beyond your situation and into the vistas of hope we have in Him.
Your situation might be telling you that you’ve gone as far as you can but God is your way maker. He will make a way for you where there seems to be no way.
Things might look bad and dark. The road ahead might look very narrow and far, but you have come this far not by your power. The strength you need for the remainder of the journey is available. Your situation might be telling you that you’ve gone as far as you can but God is your way maker. He will make a way for you where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). In the face of that enemy and darkness, fear and panic, shock and dismay, refuse to quit because greater is He that is in you than the storm, the test, or the trial.
