The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:4 (BBE), that “Love is never tired of waiting; love is kind; love has no envy; love has no high opinion of itself, love has no pride”. That’s very true and that should be our daily experiences. But what happens when that love refuses to be kind anymore? What happens when that love becomes envious and toxic? What happens when that love turns to silent hell for you? Will you stay and say that, “Love is never tired of waiting”?
Beloved brothers and sisters, if you give someone your magic, and they didn’t honour it, don’t remain there and say, “Love is never tired of waiting”, that’s spiritual foolishness. It’s foolishness to want to marry a man if you won’t be proud to have a son like him? It’s foolishness to want to marry a woman if you won’t be proud to have a daughter like her?
There’s nothing beautiful about losing your life for someone else in the name of love — Jesus already died for them.
I’m not saying that “Love is never tired of waiting”, but it is spiritual foolishness to keep running after a person who doesn’t love you back. It’s spiritual foolishness to keep hanging on to a relationship where your life is at risk because of physical abuse. It’s foolishness to keep falling for people who are not good for you. It’s foolishness to keep running after people who have said they don’t need you in their lives. If they don’t need you, it’s okay, you do not live for other people. It’s okay to move on knowing that your prince will come. It’s okay to move on knowing that tomorrow could be the day that you have be waiting for. It’s okay to move on knowing that the one that is yours will come. He or she may not be driving a Lamborghini, but they will want you, and only you, and that will be better than any fairy tale.
There’s nothing beautiful about tearing yourself apart for someone else in the name of love. There’s nothing beautiful about losing your life for someone else in the name of love — Jesus already died for them. I pray for a miracle for you in that relationship and in that marriage — may you have the strength and courage to rise above whatever is currently seeking to bring you down in Jesus Name.
