This is letter is for you, you that got your girlfriend or wife pregnant but you are not there for her. You that have deliberately refused to take responsibility for bringing a child to this world. You that have left your girlfriend or wife to fend for your child and herself alone without any support. You that is deliberately causing pain to a woman that carried your child for nine months, went through labor and right now raising your child as a single mum. You that have made your wife to become a widow and your child an orphan even when you are still alive.
This letter is for you, you that is never around for your family. You that is in denial that you are the father of your child or hate your own child because he or she doesn’t look like you. You that is sitting all day useless in front of the TV while your wife or baby mama struggles to get something out of her purse. You that have refused to be a man instead of acting like a boy – all you are good for is causing headaches and making babies. I say shame on you! Shame on you for being proud to be useless and wack! When will you become a husband and a true father? Why are you so wicked? Why?
Well, I am sending you this letter not to condemn you but to remind you that God’s not mad at you; He’s madly in love with you! It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done; know that His goodness is what’s drawing you to Him. Don’t let condemnation keep you from turning to God and to your family as you start a new year. God has promised that He’ll never leave you nor forsake you. Don’t forsake your child too. Psalms 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from God; they are His reward”. If God has given you a gift, handle that gift carefully because it’s for a purpose (Psalms 127:5, 128:3).
When things don’t go the way you planned them, don’t get discouraged and become irresponsible. In all things give Him thanks because His hand is on you. Do not be afraid of how you are going to provide for them, trust God to help you. All that your child, wife or baby mama wants is for you to be there for them with the little that you have. Today, if you need to ask them for their forgiveness, please do so because she is tired mentally, emotionally and physically. She is broken depressed and need your shoulder to lean on. Go, you won’t regret it!
May God give you a fresh start — Psalms 145:14 (MSG). May He cause unfavourable circumstances to shift in your favour.
