Be Confident In Your Journey

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you. You that have spent too much time looking for the right person to love. You that the person you cared about the most has become a stranger. You that’s holding on in tears rather letting go with a smile. You that’s tired and hurt at the same time. You that’s asking God to heal that pain. This letter is for you!

When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. There’s a purpose to life’s events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard. Don’t allow the noise in your relationship to become drama in your Spirit. Sometimes God takes away something you never expected losing, but he WILL replace it with something you never imagined you could have.

Be confident in your journey knowing that when one door closes, another opens. If the arms and the hands of the one you love were simply too weak to carry a love as heavy as the one you had placed in them, don’t attempt to make him or her love you because you can’t. All you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is up to the person to realise your worth. And the last time I checked, broken crayons still color and sad birds still sing. So don’t ever let anyone dull your colors or break your songs. Refuse to be anxious about the situation once you’ve made your request known to God (Philippians 4:6).

King David knew he had an advantage when He said, “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life…” (Psalms 23:6). He knew God would assist him. He knew he could expect preferential treatment. David had this favour mentality. You can choose to have this favour mentality in that situation too and His advantage will be yours.

May there be peace within you today. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May God continue to see you, not as a problem or a failure but as a person that He created you to be.

In Him,
~Ali Papa.
