If you have ever felt inadequate to start a relationship like you didn’t belong. If you have ever struggled with self doubt, felt unworthy or unloved. If you have ever been told that you aren’t good enough because of your circumstances. If you have ever walked with your head down, believing no one sees you. If you have ever come to a point where you no longer wanted to be you – where you didn’t want to deal with yourself because you felt inadequate. If you have ever felt inadequate as a parent. If you have ever felt inadequate where you are in life. If you have ever felt inadequate in any way, this letter is for YOU.
You are not inadequate in any way. Feelings are not facts. Where you are right now is the geographical centre of the world. From where you are right now, you can go to anywhere in the world. From there you can become the best in your chosen field. From that toxic relationship, you can liberate yourself – from there you can turn your mess into a message. Jesus was born in a manger but He never allowed that to limit Him or prevent Him from fulfilling His purpose for you and I. Don’t get too caught up in things that doesn’t matter. Don’t allow your circumstances to become drama in your Spirit. Don’t stay there thinking that you will never amount to anything in life. Don’t stay there and blame God and everyone for all that has ever gone wrong in your life. If you have ever felt inadequate or unqualified then you are a prime candidate for God to do BIG things in your life.
Irrespective of your mistakes or the circumstances of your birth, you are exactly where God intended you to be from the moment you were first conceived. This is His purpose for you for this season of your life. Have faith in Him who created you and planted this seed within you. Lean on Him throughout this phase of your life. He will “never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deut. 31:6)
If you are heartbroken and the pain has refused to heal, learn to live with it but don’t give it the power to control you. If the world is against you, don’t be against yourself knowing that God is with you and will never leave nor forsake you. If you are feeling inadequate, worthless, or not enough, you didn’t get those ideas from God. Replace those thoughts with the thoughts of God concerning you. Jeremiah 1:5 says God knew and approved of you before He even formed you in your mother’s womb. If you are feeling rejected by anyone or by the society, replace those thoughts with the thoughts of God concerning you. Isaiah 41:9 says that God chosen you and has not rejected you. And if you’re feeling alone and unnoticed, remember that you are precious to God. According to Isaiah 49:15, He know your name and has it written on the palm of His hands. If you are feeling inadequate and fearful, let me assure you that grace is available to you. Do not look to yourself; look to Christ! Lean on God who chose you!
