This letter is for you. You that’s wondering when or where you are going to lay your eyes on the one you should love and who could love you back. You that can’t talk because you want to cry. You that is feeling so lonely yet you can’t let anyone in for the fear of getting hurt. You that’s broken from a past that can’t be repaired. You that doesn’t even love yourself enough, you that will never truly embrace love because you are either broken, sad, depressed, detached, lost, emotional or simply unstable – this letter is for you!
Hear me when I tell you this: When the world doesn’t understand you, remember that God does. If He is at peace with you then rest and be at peace with yourself. Matthew 11:28-29 (CEV) says, “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. 29 Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest”.
Stop blaming yourself for the way people have treated you. Stop asking why your life has turned this way. Stop asking, “why me?”. You cannot make people like, love, understand, validate, accept or be nice to you. You can’t control them either. But you can tell your heart to beat again and allow God to give you rest from that struggle. Stop crying and begin to focus on God rather than on what’s tearing you apart. He will give you double for your shame. He will cause things to turn around in your favour. He will give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed in Jesus Name – Psalms 20:4 (NIV). Until tomorrow, never let yourself be defeated.
