Live On

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you. You that’s not okay, but good at pretending that you are. You that’s done emotionally, drained mentally but smiling physically. You that’s tired but still fighting. You that’s always hanging on to the hope that things will get better. You that have lost count of the smiles you have faked. You that’s in pain and doesn’t know what to feel anymore. You that’s afraid to fall for the wrong person again. You that’s always prepared for goodbyes because that’s all you’ve ever known. You that was pushed to the point where you no longer cares, this letter is for you.

Don’t Be Afraid

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that’s stressing over small things and over thinking your life. You that’s anxious and still coping. You that’s wondering how many people you have to be before you can become yourself. You that have loved others so much that you don’t have any left for yourself. You that’s afraid and ashamed to tell your story because of how you will be perceived or demonized, this letter is for you and I want you to know that every scar has a story. Don’t ever be afraid to tell yours. If you have never made a mistake then it means you have never tried something new.

There is God!

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you. You that’s tired of getting your hopes up and being disappointed. You that end up disappointed thinking people will do for you as you do for them. You that’s disappointed because you don’t have the same opportunity as those around you. You that’s disappointed because you never got the chance to say you’re sorry. You that’s sad because he or she disappointed you. You that’s disappointed in how it turned out. You that’s disappointed in how they acted toward you. You that’s disappointed because it didn’t go the way you thought it would go. You that’s disappointed because of that rejection. You that’s tired of being disappointed, this letter is for you.

Start Living Again

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you. You that takes pleasure in creating problems that doesn’t exist in your head. You that’s over thinking about things that will never happen. You that wanted them to chase after you when you left. You that’s wishing they don’t be in love with someone else. You that’s hoping that perhaps you’ll meet them again when you both are better for each other.

The world is not really against you, the only thing that’s against you is yourself. Don’t become your own worst enemy. Don’t abuse a kind heart. You may never be offered one again. Stop taking today and this moment for granted assuming that there would be a thousand more. There is no situation before you that’s too difficult for God to handle.

David said in Psalms 138:7-8, “Through your mighty power I can walk through any devastation, and you will keep me alive, reviving me. Your power set me free from the hatred of my enemies. 8 You keep every promise you’ve ever made to me! Since your love for me is so constant and endless, I ask you, Lord, to finish every good thing that you’ve begun in me!” (Psalms:The Passion Translation)

Everyone’s recovery journey is different. Don’t be a victim of comparison. God is keeping every promise that He has ever made to you and He will finish all that He has started in you. Stop walking around with an arrow in your chest. You’ll never get healed that way even if you think you’re functioning just fine. Until tomorrow, learn to walk over things that you used to trip over. Fall in love with as many things as possible. Do what you love, love what you do because it’s time for you to start living again.

Be blessed!

In Him,
~Ali Papa.

His Power Is Sufficient

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you. You that didn’t know what love felt like until you met them, but now you know what a broken heart feels like. You that’s feeling that you can’t love anyone else because your heart still belongs to the one who broke it. You that nobody can see your broken heart because it’s like having broken ribs but the pain is unbearable every time you breathe.
