Don’t Be Afraid

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that’s stressing over small things and over thinking your life. You that’s anxious and still coping. You that’s wondering how many people you have to be before you can become yourself. You that have loved others so much that you don’t have any left for yourself. You that’s afraid and ashamed to tell your story because of how you will be perceived or demonized, this letter is for you and I want you to know that every scar has a story. Don’t ever be afraid to tell yours. If you have never made a mistake then it means you have never tried something new.

Come forward…
Leave behind doubt and lack of confidence and that negative voice that continues to tell you lies. Change the way you talk to yourself. Change the way you look at yourself because you deserve the admiration you keep giving others. Don’t be afraid that others will judge you because of your pain or mistakes. Everybody has their own story to tell. The people that left you may not have loved you, but they did change you. They taught you. They grew you. Warren Buffet said, “Every saint has a past. Every sinner has a future”. Your future begins now and it’s in your hands. As you move on, share your story and light your candle for all to see. If you are separated or divorced, share your story. If your marriage or relationship is in a mess, share your story. If you just got healed or saved, share your story. Whatever it is, if you want people to care, don’t be afraid to tell your story loud and proud. His Grace has met you where you are right now, it won’t leave you where you are found. So clear yourself of worry and focus on what is important. Philippians 4:6 (MSG) says, “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns”.

Be loud and proud…
I am praying for you — the one who found this letter of hope – that hope will make your heart beat stronger again. Don’t ever be afraid to follow your dreams, they know the way. Don’t change the way you are just to make somebody happy. Don’t let people who don’t believe in you hold you back. Know what makes your soul shine. Leave behind holding yourself back because everything in your life is a reflection of the choices you’ve made and if there is something you’re unhappy about change it and the voices in your head will start agreeing with you a little more. Besides, hope will not leave your body as easily as it does today. You will surely find happiness with a new love. And remember, it’s never too late to tell your story. No matter how desperate, uncertain, afraid, or stuck you may feel right now, come forward, your story isn’t over. People want to see, hear and connect to your narrative. Don’t be afraid to tell your story. Any day you choose, you can start something new and allow God to help you complete what He calls you to start.

Be blessed!

In Him,
~Ali Papa.
