This letter is for you, you that is emotionally and financially paralysed by your circumstances. You that’s allowing your circumstances to dictate your outcome. You whose happiness depends on your circumstances. You that’s blaming your circumstances for why you aren’t where you want to be in life. You that’s justifying your worry because of your circumstances. You that’s waiting for your circumstances to be perfect before you can pursue a goal or bucket list item. You that’s allowing your circumstances today cloud your vision for tomorrow, this is letter is for you. Take your eyes off those circumstances – God isn’t surprised by them! I want you to know that you were born at the right place and at the right time. God was not surprised by your birth, the circumstances of your birth, or where you were born. He spoke you into your mother’s womb, and he knows you by name.
Knowing that God is working through your circumstances, you are free to take your eyes off the circumstances and to look around and look above. Peter took his eyes off the circumstances and walk across the water toward Jesus; only when he looked back at his circumstances did he begin to sink! It doesn’t matter what problems you may be facing today, one thing is sure: God still performs miracles and you can call on Him today! He has plans for you – plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)
Learn to see beyond your circumstances, and to remind yourself that the same God who brought you through past pain, trials, disappointment, tragedy or heartache, is the same God who will get you through this! What God does for one, He’ll do for anyone under the same circumstances. And if He’s never done it for anyone else but you require it, He’ll do it for you. So don’t ever be pushed around by your problems. Be led by your dreams.
Until tomorrow, always remember that regardless of your circumstances in life, you have the Name of Jesus – go ahead and declare His favour over those circumstances. If God hadn’t been with you back then, you wouldn’t be here now. He has a blessing with your name on it. Rest and tell your heart to beat again. May you live the life God has planned for you in Jesus Name.
