This letter is for you, you that’s drowning with sadness in your own tears. You that’s feeling like your strength has left your body and you can’t do anything. You that’s wondering why is it that everyone you love end up leaving you – the one that fell in love with your smile left when he or she saw your sadness. You that is at one of the lowest points of your life. You that depression has given you days where you could barely get out of bed. You that’s familiar with completely feeling alone. You that have stopped talking to nearly everyone because when they left you, you were not only battling heartbreak but grief, fear, shock and stress.
Don’t wait all your life for you to learn how to distance yourself from negative people. Don’t allow sadness to become the only clean shirt that you have left – Learn to subtract everything from your life that brings you sadness. Don’t allow sadness to become your comfort zone – channel your sadness through other means. Don’t allow sadness to linger for too long – your situation will not be forever. Don’t allow sadness or any negativity to feel at home – people will always be people, don’t expect too much. Don’t allow sadness to cloud your days – reach out to others. Don’t allow sadness to reach the point where you become depressed, where everything around you is sad. Don’t ever feel worthless when it appears no one cares. Here is your today’s reminder: Don’t allow sadness to use you – make use of it instead. Don’t allow sadness and disappointment of divorce to harden you and make you fearful – own your strength, wear it proud without allowing sadness to hinder your progress in life.
Irrespective of whatever that has happened to you, realize what needs to be realized, learn from it, live and stay the course and on purpose. Many times we wish things could have been different or that we could be different but things always have a way of working out in the end. Every story they say has an ending, but in life every ending is just a new beginning. It doesn’t matter in which street of life you are right now, you can begin again with God. Endure with hope because God is not only the God of second chances, He is the God of another chance, the God of multiple chances. Until tomorrow, I want you to know that everybody has gone through something that has changed them in a way that they could never go back to the person they once were. Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a brand new opportunity to rebuild what you truly want. And as you draw from this reservoir of hope today, it’s my prayer that God will not only restore hope to you but that He will cause you to begin to see vistas of hope in those situations that are before you today.
