This letter is for you, you that’s without a father. You whose father left you at a very early age. You that never knew your father. You that doesn’t have a relationship with your father. You that’s living with an abusive father. You that was raised by your mum alone. You that’s finding today very tough because you woke up on Father’s day and there’s no one to call you a father yet. Don’t question why things ended up this way. You have made it this far, and you will continue to be a better person because of what you had to endure.
The pain you feel today is real, but you are not alone – being raised without a father is not a death sentence. Fathers are very important but you survived without one. Be proud of the man or woman you have become. Be reassured that God will always be by your side irrespective of what life has thrown at you. Many bad things happened to Joseph but God took care of him. Your case will not be different because we know that all things (including your background) work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28).
Until tomorrow, If you woke up today without a father to celebrate, remember that you have one in heaven that is worth celebrating. Saying a special prayer for all the fatherless sons and daughters that found this letter of hope. If you are not yet a father, be a role model for some children out there without a father. To the moms that raised their children while playing both roles, may your effort and labour of love never be in vain. To the older siblings who helped raised their younger siblings without a father figure – may God send you a helper whenever you need one in Jesus Name.
To all the fathers who grew up without a father and broke the cycle instead of letting the cycle break them – you have done well! May all that you have done for your children never be in vain. To all those who, through no fault of their own, don’t have a relationship with their father, remember: God is “a father to the fatherless…” Psalm 68:5. May everything that gives you hope and peace of mind for a better tomorrow not be taken away from you. May the Lord preserve all that will make you thank Him all the days of your life. He will increase more of His grace and blessings that will make you be what you are destined to be. May the days ahead be loaded with joy, gladness and great benefits for you In Jesus Mighty Name.
