Don’t Dwell on The Trials Of Life

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that’s thinking it is too late to run back to God. You that’s regretting why you left too early. You that’s looking at your memories and overwhelmed with sadness and embarrassment for the person you were last year. You that’s finding it so hard to forget what hurt you in the past. You that’s spending time in things that are keeping you stagnant. You that is having a horrible feeling that you’re not good enough no matter how hard you try. You that’s regretting what you went through in your dark days when you should be thankful for all the lesson it taught you. This letter is for you, you that’s enveloped in sadness understood only by you.

It’s okay to think of all the things that you have allowed to slip through your fingers — God, family, relationships, marriage, career, your youth, etc. but it’s not okay to resign to failure even when you have failed — you can go again. It’s not okay to resign to past mistakes — they don’t define you. It’s not okay to resign to depression — there is always a glimmer of hope. And no matter how heavy life has weighed you down and threatens to overwhelm you, don’t resign to defeat or hatred. Resign to God’s will and remain calm knowing that even if He delays, He will comfort you. He will cover you with the shadow of His hand, and He will give you courage for the times and seasons ahead.

Irrespective of where you are in life today and no matter what you may have done, no matter how many times you have done it, remind yourself that faith brings second chances and that God will always give you a second chance. He will give you a third, fourth, fifth and a thousand chances. God will not stop because he will not give up on you. He will open doors of second chances and doors of provision for you. God is able to give you a miracle to confound your enemies. Job 33:29 (CEV) says, “God gives each of us chance after chance”.

You that found this letter of hope, the first step to getting anywhere is deciding you’re no longer willing to stay where you are. Forgive yourself for all the things you didn’t do and all the things you should have done. You can’t get stuck on the regrets of what should have happened. That’s why today, it’s my prayer that you get tired of your present situation and decide that enough is enough. It’s my prayer that you have an end to every battle draining you spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially in Jesus’ Name! It’s my prayer that God will restore your strength, your peace and your joy! I needed this myself and I thought you might too. Please take God’s second or third or fourth chance and stay the course. The little things, the little moments, they’re not little. Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.

Until tomorrow, be strong when things fall apart — that’s the best time to learn about yourself. You are God’s child and it’s never too late to run to Him. There is never a limit on His grace, and there is nothing you have done that can separate you from His love. Endure with this hope today. Be kind to yourself because life is a battle of survival. If you quit, you’ll become a loser. If you fall, stand up — God doesn’t throw stones that you cannot catch. Don’t dwell on the trials of life. Focus on the blessings in your life and when second chances come along, be thankful and take advantage of them.

In Him,
~Ali Papa.
