God’s Got You

Dear Someone,

If you are one of those who wakes up every day wishing that a smile will come to you naturally, this letter is for you. I don’t know what’s causing that heavy burden in your heart or why you feel so much tired, depressed, lonely, and unloved. I also don’t know why it seems to you like nothing is adding up but whatever it’s that is causing you to have these bad feelings, rest and know that God is not surprised at your situation. It may not feel like it right now but there is an expected end for you. God will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. Hold your faith in that situation today knowing that help is on the way for you (see Hebrews 13:5).

God said in Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV), “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. There’s an expected end for you in that situation. Nothing you go through will change the plans of God. There’s an expiration date for that situation that’s trying to cripple you financially and emotionally. God knows what He’s doing concerning you. He had it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. He’s not surprised at how poor or rich you are. God is not surprised at your emotional response to the drama around you. He is not surprised at your shortcomings. He is not surprised at your imperfections. God is not surprised at what you are going through. He is not surprised at where you are in your life today! Trust his plan and trust the process! We all pass through challenges at different times in our lives but God is not surprised at our difficulties.

Jesus said that in this world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer because better days are coming (John 16:33). If God is at peace with you, then you can rest and be at peace with yourself. There’s nothing wrong about the way you are feeling right now concerning that situation and how angry you are towards those that have wronged you. You may have been denied, delayed, wounded, deceived, hurt, and rejected but nothing has defeated you.

No matter what you have been through, don’t hold on to anger, hurt or pain for too long, they will steal your energy and keep you away from love. Everything you’ve been through was all leading up to this new thing God is doing in your life. David said in Psalms 30:5, “I’ve learned that God’s anger is short-lived, But his loving favour lasts a lifetime! We may weep through the night, But at daybreak, it will turn into shouts of ecstatic joy”. May that be your testimony in that situation today.

It doesn’t matter what you have been through this year and for how long, glorious things are still spoken of you in His Word. God has bigger and better things in store. He took time to number the hairs on your head, and He is not surprised at your imperfections. The scriptures says, “the path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter.” (see Proverbs 4:18). That’s God’s promise for you in that situation, that your life will get brighter — more light, more love, more influence and more favour.

I have told you before in one of my letters that, “NO MATTER HOW MESSED UP YOU ARE, YOUR MESSY LIFE IS NOT A SURPRISE TO GOD. YOUR SITUATION IS NOT A SURPRISE TO GOD. NOTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU IS A SURPRISE TO GOD. HE IS ABLE TO GET YOU TO WHERE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. THAT LOSS WASN’T A SURPRISE TO GOD. THAT FAILED MARRIAGE IS NOT A SURPRISE TO GOD. WHAT YOU LOST MADE ROOM FOR THE NEW THINGS GOD WANTS TO DO IN YOUR LIFE. THE DEATH OF JESUS WAS NOT A SURPRISE TO GOD. IT WAS THE PLAN OF GOD. NOTHING YOU’RE FACING IS A SURPRISE TO GOD. HE HAD THE SOLUTION BEFORE YOU HAD THE PROBLEM. WHAT IS A SURPRISE TO YOU IS NOT A SURPRISE TO GOD. HE HAS YOUR LIFE PLANNED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE”.

Today might not have been the best of days, but stay strong in that situation. Don’t give up on yourself and don’t give up on God just because you missed it. You are who God says you are, you are highly favoured, greatly loved and you are more than a conqueror. Learn from your mistakes, forgive yourself and adjust your plans knowing that help is on the way. God is about to surprise you with the oil of Joy (Isaiah 43:19). He wants to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that you could ever ask Him today.

As you imagine or think about that, I pray that “the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you” (2 Corinthians 13:14). May the Lord cause you to smile on the inside and outside. May He cause you to remember things or see things and a smile will come to you. May this week cause you to smile & may a piece of info come your way that will gladden your spirit. May that one person who can send you a text and cause you to smile instantly never be far from you. May everything that makes you sad begin to make you glad this season. May God perfect all that concerns you and cause you to smile always. May that smile that only God can put on your face be yours. May your joy be full and permanent.

Be encouraged,
#IAmAlipapa.
