This letter is for you, you that is asking yourself what to do when there is nothing else left to do. You that have come to the end of the road and doesn’t know what to do yet can’t let go. You that the road before you seems so narrow and you can’t see any future ahead. This letter is for you, you that’s feeling like all the things that gave you hope are being snatched away. You that is feeling like all your thought processes are being proven as faulty and you feel all alone and helpless, this letter is for you.
If today you have done all that you know to do and yet there is no difference in that situation and in the way you feel, that’s perfectly normal — try not to lose your mind over them. It just shows you are human. Irrespective of what led you to this street of life that you’re in, there’s no need to beat yourself over the way you feel. Stop beating yourself up over other people’s opinions you have no control over. Stop beating yourself up over that mistake. Stop beating yourself up over someone who doesn’t deserve you. Don’t beat yourself up over things just because they didn’t follow through to the end. Don’t beat yourself up over having bad thoughts about your life and the way you feel right now. Just take a step backwards, relax and hand over everything to God.
Psalms 46:1 (TLB) says, “God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble”. He is your present help at this time of your need. He is our source of light in that dark situation. David knew this when he said in Psalms 23:4 (TLB), “Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way”. David didn’t go around crying, he didn’t find himself in the valley and say, “I am finished”, He didn’t see circumstances around himself and say, “I quit!”, instead, he was reminding himself of God’s power and ability, he was comforting himself with the knowledge of who God was to him.
Your present situation might have caused you to start thinking that you have come to the end of the road, or that there’s nowhere to turn to, that’s a lie. David felt that way too but his attitude to his problem was what made the difference in his life. David said in Psalms 34:2, 4, 6 (MSG), “I live and breathe God, He met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. And when I was desperate, I called out, and God got me out of a tight spot”. Let this become your attitude today in that situation. Stop negotiating with the devil. Treat him like David did. He fixed the bears, he fixed the lions and it became a testimony. For as long as you are with God, you can, and will walk through the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil. What can be more dangerous than that valley? Your guess is as good as mine.
So my dear reader, do not fret in that situation. God has got it all in control and all you need to do is trust Him enough to lead you in that dark road. Walk in the authority of who God has called you to be. Trust Him to guide you out of that blessed mess. It’s not too late for God to fulfill His purpose for you and through you neither has His plan for you expired. Just because things are not going the way you planned them doesn’t mean they’re not going the way they should. No matter what things look like right now, and no matter what you are waiting for, wait with expectation, wait in faith, and trust that God is ordering your steps! Trust that God is flipping some things in your favour. Choose to trust that God is working out things together for your good as you place your hope in Him.
Proverbs 4:18 (TRCC) says, “The path of the righteous shineth as the light, and is ever brighter and brighter unto the perfect day”. Trust that God is going to make a way where there seems to be no way. Whatever it is that has happened, you can trust that God is with you and in control. It’s possible you might not know how you’ll get there but trust that God is on the move. It doesn’t matter either if today is your worst day, trust that God is putting you through everything for the greater good. Psalms 34:17-18 (MSG) asks, “Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you. If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath”.
Until tomorrow, trust that GOD is always with you. Trust that He’s in the details. Trust that He is working on something only He can orchestrate. Believe and let Him gracefully lead you where you need to be. Carefully keep and guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (see Proverbs 4:23). Keep this letter also in plain view at all times. Concentrate and meditate on it! Learn it by heart if you can because a repositioning is taking place and it will turn out right for you (see Proverbs 4:21).
The challenges may be enormous BUT refuse to complain about the pressure. Don’t allow your challenges or anyone squeezes you into who you are not. Pray about your situation and LET YOUR FAITH PREVAIL. Don’t give up now that you’re so close to getting your answer! Get up and continue in earnest prayer, for the earnest prayer of the righteous man always works. Ask and stay in peace once you pray.
May God give you strength to pull through this tough time. May He give you a thousand reasons to smile and may He put a tickle in your heart! May He put you back together, in front of the people that broke you. May He put the right people in your life at the right time and for the right reasons. May He open the right doors at the right time for you. May He put a hedge of protection around you and your family and may “the nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter” — Psalms 30:5 (MSG). You’ve been patient long enough. You’ve been trying. Now it’s your turn to start receiving. Be ready for it. God will make a way for you when you think you’re done.
