I’m not in your place, so I don’t know how you feel today. I’m not wearing your shoes, so I don’t know what it means to walk in them. I know where I came from and where God picked me up from but I can’t easily say that about you.
Irrespective of your current situation or challenges and, irrespective of what life has thrown at you, please keep fighting for your life. Keep fighting for your loved ones. Keep fighting for what you believe to be true. You have chances that others will never have. You are alive today and where there is life, there is hope.
Your health challenges are not a surprise to God. Your marital issues are not a surprise to God. Your miscarriages are not a surprise to God. The attitude of your abusive spouse is not a surprise to God. Your economic and financial situations are not a surprise to God. Keep believing and standing on the promises of God knowing that your answer is on its way. Keep believing and standing on the promises of God knowing, that “Every promise of God proves true; He protects everyone who runs to him for help” — Proverbs 30:5 (MSG).
You’re probably tired, struggling, fed up, broken, used, abused and cheated on as you read this, and that’s because life happens. Don’t allow what happened to you to cause you to give up on God — fight for your life. Don’t allow the negative things people are saying about you to become drama in your spirit — fight for your life. Fight for your life because bad things happen to good people.
You that is reading this from a hospital bed, fight for your life for, without a fight, you’ll never have the life you want. Where there was sickness, there will be health. You that is so exhausted, doesn’t want to fight anymore and doesn’t believe that you are worth the fight, let your situation push you hard to stay the course. Let it give you no choice but to keep fighting and if all you can do is to crawl, then start crawling.
You that’s lost but knows that you have more than enough ingredients to be great, keep fighting for your life knowing that where the enemy dominated you and poverty seemed to rule, there will be plenty. You that’s misunderstood and taken for granted your entire life, keep fighting for your life knowing that God is able to turn everything around and cause it to work for your good.
You that have had the worst luck in everything you set your hands to do, keep fighting for your life knowing that where there’s darkness, there’ll be light. And where there was destruction, there will be good. You that’s wishing you had a better job, a better life, a better girlfriend, boyfriend, a better spouse, keep fighting for your life knowing that while weeping may endure for a night, JOY is coming! (Psalms 30:5).
You that’s surrounded by negativity, keep fighting for your life knowing that your story is not over. You that’s trusting God for the fruit of the womb, keep fighting a good fight of faith knowing that God is about to begin a new chapter in your life. Keep fighting for your life, you that have stumbled in your walk of faith. You will not be down for too long and you will not be without help, God has a grip on your hand, supporting you (Psalms 37:24).
You that’s fighting to either save yourself or your marriage, keep fighting knowing that it is only a dip. You will come out of it and when you do, there are vistas of hope waiting for you. Don’t give up on yourself and don’t give up on God just because you missed it. Learn from your mistakes, forgive yourself and adjust your plans.
You that’s in crushing debt and living from paycheck to paycheck, keep fighting for your life knowing that you will surely recover from that setback or failure. Fight for your life and never allow yourself to feel defeated again. Fight for your life knowing that you a child of God and the price that was paid for your salvation is not cheap. Fight for your life and refuse to settle for less. Fight for your life and refuse to be normal. Refuse to be normal because you are more than a conqueror, a chosen generation and a peculiar child of God.
Until tomorrow, hang in there and never forget that life is a fight from the second you take your first breath, till the moment you exhale your last. Hang in there because, in life, the race is not to the swift or the strongest but time and chance (Ecclesiastes 9:11). Hang in there because you’re strong, and I am staying strong for you. Hang in there and let your story be one of faith, love and hope.
