Don’t Lose Yourself

Dear Someone,

If you found this letter and you are having a hard time, feeling like you’ve lost yourself instead of finding yourself, mentally and emotionally drained, and are scared of getting hurt again, that means it is for you. I am sending you this letter in the very final moments of my last evening of this glorious year 2019. I do so with so much gratitude and amazement. It is been an awesome year, and I am so excited to see what 2020 will bring for you and me.

Forgive Yourself And Begin Again

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that is looking back at your life in regret instead of looking forward. You that is looking back at your life and can’t identify the person that you have become. You that is looking back at your life and realizing that in a quest of making everyone around happy, you have lost yourself. For everyone that’s looking back at their lives and seeing a series of mistakes and sins, for everyone that’s looking back at 2019 and thinking that 2020 will just get worse up the same, this letter is for you. I don’t know if you are a follower, but I am glad you stumbled on this letter. It’s also a letter for me, to realize how much I have done and what I have become.

You Are Not Your Infertility

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that is almost, always the only one without a child everywhere you go. You that the first question you are asked everywhere you go is, how many children you have. You that is walking the hard path of infertility and have gone through several IVF’s without success but still shows up to every baby shower for your friends. You that have lost your dignity after having too many sessions with strangers heads between your legs. This letter is for you, you that often watch your friends have a baby shower and not get invited because they were worried about how you would react.

God Will Make A Way

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that’s tired and sort of emptied out. You that tomorrow could be the someday you’ve been waiting for. You that want answers but you’re afraid to ask. You that have seen people say to you, “I’m here for you” and then run away as soon as things start to fall apart. You that there were moments you think you won’t survive and then you survived. You that is allowing your fears to decide your future. I want you to know that whatever it is that you are going through today, they all have an expiry date.

Accept The Criticism For Being Silent

Dear Someone,

This letter is for you, you that is fluent in silence and keeping a lot to yourself because it is difficult to find people that understand you. This letter is for you, you that is using silence to express your pain, frustration and disappointment. This letter is for you too, you whose silence is often seen either as snobby, weakness, foolishness, cocky, ignorance, bitchiness, stubbornness, arrogance or as an acceptance of defeat.

Live Your Life

I just wanted to remind you, Dear Someone, to be thankful for what you have — you will end up having more. Be thankful for true love and true friends — they are hard to find. Be thankful for your setbacks — you never know what God is saving you from. Be thankful for the struggles you go through — they make you stronger and wiser. Be thankful for those that left you — friends will come and go but life goes on. Be thankful for your job — there are many that would love to be in your position.

Most importantly, be thankful for your life no matter how good or bad you think life is for you right now — someone somewhere is fighting to survive. “No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TLB).

This is my letter for you today — count your blessings, find a thousand reasons to “be thankful” and happy.

In Him,
#IAmAlipapa.
