Stay The Course (10)

Dearly Beloved,

Many times in your journey of life,  your actions will be perceived differently than how you meant them to be perceived. You will be misunderstood and your motives will be called into question. Whenever you try to do something you will risk rejection, you will risk ridicule, and you will be misunderstood. That’s life but don’t allow that to stop you. Many times it will shock you to hear what others thought about you, especially when you knew your intentions were right. You may have meant one thing, but everyone may have seemed to perceive something totally different from what you intended. At such times, you must remind yourself that you are not alone. Jesus was misunderstood. He suffered in the hands of men. In His short lifetime He encountered both love and hate, acceptance and rejection, belief and unbelief. Jesus lived with people who understood Him and with those who misunderstood Him.

There may be sometimes when someone may question your motives when you are trying to get the blessing from God. Someone may think you want that to be puffed up. You want that job so you can be a big shot. You want that so you can be better than others. Your Pastor and folks in the church may even misunderstand your motives, but persevere in your prayer anyway.

Do you feel misunderstood and forsaken by the people you love? Have you been falsely accused and stripped of everything, without a dime to your name? Don’t cry. Don’t quit. Don’t pack your bags yet. Back off, take some time to think and pray about the matter before you proceed. Don’t let the devil get you all upset because you were misunderstood. Stay the course and on purpose because our Lord knows how to relate to you in your situation. He has been there and He is in it with you. He said to us in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”.

So I say to you today to be of good cheer. You will always be misunderstood, mistreated, and maligned but again, stay the course and on purpose. Joseph was misunderstood, mistreated, and maligned but he stayed the course and everything worked together for his good. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”.

You know the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:1-21. The Bible says the other wife, the adversary, mocked her, tormented her, and used every opportunity available to show her she is barren. Even the prophet, when he saw Hannah praying, thought she was drunk. The prophet misunderstood her, but that didn’t stop God. God has decided her time and season. When her day came, the mockers were silenced. All things worked together for her good.

If in your place of work, you did something you thought was good and required commendation, but instead you found yourself being persecuted for your good works, don’t feel bad about it. Just because you’re good and doing the right thing doesn’t mean everybody is going to be cheering you on. There might be those that’ll resist you, and try to make you stray away from your path; they might even call you evil, in spite of your good works; you must maintain your composure. Refuse to change. Stay the course with the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth. As you do, keep manifesting His righteousness, no matter the criticism’ and you’ll always win.

Learn to give Him thanks in every situation. If they treated you bad, give Him thanks. if they lied against you, give Him thanks. If they hate you, give Him thanks. If they misunderstood you, give Him thanks. Give Him thanks for this is the will of God for you – 1 Thessalonians 5:18. No matter how dark and hopeless the situation may look – give Him thanks. Today, give Him thanks! It doesn’t matter if what you’re praying for is yet to materialize. It doesn’t matter who is against you in your office or in your home. It doesn’t matter where they are planning against you. It  doesn’t matter how deep the valley is. He will walk with you. He will comfort you – Psalm 23:4. It doesn’t count who is trying to bring you down or talk down on you, “…God will never let you down; He’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll always be there to help you come through it”. (1 Corinthians 10:13 Message).

Hannah prayed from her heart, and Eli thought she was drunk because people who pray are most generally misunderstood (1 Samuel 1:14). So don’t be discouraged when you are misunderstood. “Don’t be afraid… The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” – Exodus 14:13-14 NLT. When you have been wounded, unfairly treated and misunderstood, forgive and stay the course. Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you – Deuteronomy 31:6 MSG.

God is your present help. You can call out to Him and He will answer AND deliver. Rest, knowing that what looked like a really bad situation is about to become your praise report that God really does use ALL things for your good.

It’s Too Late To Fail

wp-1488810210206.png

Dearly Beloved of God,

Before God blesses a man, He knows his terrain, society and the wickedness of men around him, yet He goes ahead to bless him. He goes ahead to prepare a table for him in the presence of his enemy because He has already prepared a hedge around him.

Are you aware that God cannot bless you without also protecting you? Job never knew that but Satan knew. Satan said to God in Job 1:10 TLB, “You have always protected him (Job) and his home and his property from all harm. You have prospered everything he does – look how rich he is! No wonder he ‘worships’ you!”.

Job never knew there was a hedge around him. He never knew that God was watching over him, protecting him, his home and his properties from harm. While God was protecting him, Job was operating with a lesser light of who God is, he was confessing fear. Job was destroyed by the devil because of his fear. He said in  Job 3:25-26, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came.”

Who told Job that he wasn’t in safety? Where did fear came from? Where did great fear came from? At what point did he not know that God was protecting him? The same question goes for you too – why are you walking in fear? Why are you having sleepless night over your finances? Why are you depressed over that “blessed mess”? Why are you telling everyone around you that things are bad? Why are you miserable because you are not where you want to be? Why are you suffering from panic attacks? Who told you that things will never get better? Who told you that there is no hope for you? Who told you that the economic situation you are in cannot work together for your good?

Brothers and sisters, fear doesn’t come from God. It comes from the devil. If you believe that God is telling the truth in His Word, if you believe that He is capable of doing what He said He would do in His Word, then you will have no fear of anything. You are a blessed man or woman endowed with the very best of God. You might not look like one now but you are still blessed because that’s who God created you to be and that is how He sees you. Stop complaining about your condition – it will not change it. The more you complain to everyone the more you are breaking the hedge that God has placed around you. Ecclesiastes 10:8 says he that breaks the hedge the serpent will bite. God has given you His Word, act on them. Isaiah -54:17 says. “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants (sons) of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

It’s your responsibility to see with the eyes of the Spirit and talk right. When God blesses you He doesn’t reverse it but it’s your responsibility to protect it through faith and not fear. Become strong and courageous in battle. Fuel your body, your senses and your Spirit with His Word. To reign in life means to rule like a king. We are to live and rule like kings. Do kings get up in the morning fearful and ashamed? No, they arise with regal dignity and dominion. You have the royal bloodline of Jesus flowing through you. You also have God’s approval and with it you are to rule the circumstances of your daily living.

Today is not the day to walk in fear. No! Remind yourself at all times that you are on the right side and cannot be defeated. It’s too late to fail now. You have been serving the Lord for too long to give up on Him and His Word. Don’t disqualify yourself from His blessings! It’s too late for the devil but not too late for God. It’s not too late for that healing. It’s not too late for that miracle! It’s not too late to have a baby. It’s not too late to get another job. It’s not too late for you to have your own family. Refuse to give up, keep talking your way up, keep declaring your healing, keep seeing your advancement, keep on taking the land and your healing will come to pass, your next job will come, your money will come,  that situation will change, that promotion will come.

No matter what you have lost, regardless of the season of your forfeiture, it’s not too late for you to recover all that you have lost because of fear. No matter what you have been through or what you’re facing, it’s not too late. God can bring healing and complete restoration to every area of your life. He is your Heavenly father, and He is faithful to keep His promises. I don’t care how old you are or how big your mountain is, your sun will rise again, the Lord is about to do great things for you! When God opens the door to you, no man can shut it. “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass” – Psalm 37:5. What the enemy intends for evil, He will use for good. Refuse to fear knowing that the day will come when those that have forsaken you will earnestly seek your help.

Stay the course and on purpose. Don’t look to yourself. Don’t focus on your circumstances. Look to Jesus! Hebrews 13:8 promises: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” If God did it before for Job, He sure can do it again for you. He will put a hedge around you, He will always protected you and your home and your property from all harm. He will prosper everything that you do. In Jesus Name!

Bad Marraige

Dear Singles,

After salvation, the most important choice you will need to make is who to marry. This choice is so important that if you miss it, you will suffer for long, if you get it right then you will enjoy forever. A bad marriage can affect every other area of your life.

This subject is so important, so many married people are hoping to be single again so as to make the right choice. If you are single please don’t just be in a hurry to get married, you have the best opportunity to prepare for it.

For two people to come together to live in peace and harmony, they must agree spiritually, mentally and physically.

Just like an elephant cannot marry an ant so also a believer cannot marry an unbeliever. If an elephant marries an ant how would they live, if a goat marries a fish where would they meet? You must look for a Godly man or a Godly woman to marry, nothing can beat this. The devil’s primary target is the family. He knows that everyone belongs to a family and if he can make two wrong people meet then he has succeeded affecting the community and nations negatively.

Ignore your age and the pressure for a moment, the pressure in a wrong marriage is far worse. God has somebody for you but you must set your priorities right. What do you need in a woman? What do you need in a man? Marriage is not about what you want, it is about who you need, that will make you better while you make him better. It is about destiny.

That is why you must know your purpose before you get married.

Genesis 2:18 (AMP) says, “Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him”.

You must pray before you choose. God knows the best person for you, it is only wise to seek His will.

It is very easy to know God’s will when sex is not involved. The moment sex is involved and you want to know His will then He will blank you out. Why? Because you have broken His first Law of NO SEX before marriage. If you have had sex in the past then you need to repent totally and stay away from each other for sometime then you can seek the face of God. Your marriage will not be hell on earth. Your
marriage will be honorable in the name of Jesus Christ.

Don’t marry for sex, don’t marry because you are of age, don’t marry because you are getting old, don’t marry because you are lonely, don’t marry because you need someone to support you financially, don’t marry because you mistakenly got pregnant, don’t marry because you don’t want to lose the person, don’t marry because of family pressures, don’t marry because you like the idea of marriage and admire every wedding gown you see, don’t marry because all your friends are getting married. But get married because you want to fulfill destiny.

Get married because you want to be a help mate. As a man, get married because you want to fulfill your purpose. God will help you in choosing, please let His will be done. Amen! Forward to the singles you love.

God bless you!
Ali Papa.
